Your role at GamingCenter

Finance & Operations gives an early-stage marketplace the controls and visibility needed to make responsible decisions. This paid working-student role focuses on reconciliations, cash-flow support, evidence-based reporting and documented processes; it never grants independent payment authority.

An unpaid one-month traineeship is considered only where a recognised educational institution or competent public authority formally arranges it and the Estonia work-country, enrolment and legal checks are documented and approved before the start. A declaration in the application is not approval. Otherwise the candidate performs no unpaid work and may remain in recruitment or, with consent, in the talent pool until a paid opening is available.

An approved placement has written learning objectives, mentorship, approximately 20 hours per week, weekly feedback and a transparent 10-point scorecard. A final score of at least 8/10 permits consideration for a separate paid working-student or legally appropriate contract. Progression is not automatic and depends on legal eligibility, continuing enrolment, payroll readiness, budget and available headcount.

This is a paid part-time position with defined responsibilities, written objectives and regular feedback. Before the start, we confirm enrolment, the physical work country, work eligibility, compensation and the responsible contracting party in a signed agreement. Recruitment tasks are time-boxed and non-production; no unpaid productive work is part of the selection process.

How you will contribute

  • Maintain approved operational trackers and reconciliation schedules
  • Prepare structured management reporting from reviewed source data
  • Document repeatable finance and administration workflows
  • Flag anomalies and missing evidence through defined escalation routes
  • Support invoice and cost-control preparation without independent payment authority

What will help you succeed

  • Current enrolment in finance, accounting, economics, business or a related field
  • Legal right to work remotely from Estonia
  • Strong spreadsheet, numerical and documentation skills
  • Professional discretion with confidential financial information
  • Professional English and availability for approximately 20 hours per week

Helpful experience

  • Relevant coursework, student project, internship or volunteer experience
  • Familiarity with remote collaboration and structured documentation
  • Interest in gaming, marketplaces, creator ecosystems or digital products

What you will learn and gain

  • Paid part-time experience in Finance & Operations within an early-stage gaming marketplace
  • Structured onboarding, weekly feedback and documented development goals
  • Ownership of defined work with review before production or external use
  • Cross-functional collaboration and portfolio-ready evidence where confidentiality permits

What happens next

  • Application and initial review
  • A short, clearly scoped recruitment task that does not involve production work
  • Online conversation and task review
  • Work-country, enrolment and work-eligibility checks
  • Written offer confirming pay, hours, working model and start date

Time commitment in the selection process

  • Initial conversation: usually about 30 minutes
  • Role interview: usually about 45 minutes
  • Recruitment task: approximately 150 minutes

Assessments are clearly scoped and never ask for productive work for GamingCenter.

Success in the first 30 days

  • Complete finance-data, access-control and confidentiality onboarding
  • Reconcile one approved operational dataset and document every exception
  • Produce a concise weekly cash-flow or cost-control view from reviewed sources
  • Recommend one proportionate control improvement with owner and evidence
