Your role at GamingCenter

Marketplace Operations connects what GamingCenter promises publicly with what partners and customers experience in practice. The team keeps service information accurate, coordinates the steps around a session and identifies recurring friction before it becomes a trust problem.

As an intern, you will work on defined checklists, quality reviews, issue logs and weekly operating summaries. You will learn to distinguish isolated problems from patterns, document a clear owner and next step, and recommend improvements that are proportionate to the evidence.

You will receive a defined learning scope, an accountable supervisor and regular feedback. We will confirm the lawful internship route, duration, working country and compensation in writing before the placement begins.

How you will contribute

  • Map selected partner-onboarding, service-readiness and support workflows from start to finish
  • Maintain reviewed operating checklists, service information and issue logs using approved data
  • Perform supervised completeness and consistency checks before information moves to the next workflow stage
  • Classify recurring friction and prepare concise weekly operational summaries
  • Discuss improvement hypotheses with partnership and product stakeholders before documenting recommendations
  • Complete a final process case study using anonymised or training data

What will help you succeed

  • Current school or university enrolment relevant to the selected internship route
  • For the 6-month route: written proof that the internship is mandatory under the applicable school or study rules
  • For an unpaid route: documented legal eligibility at the actual remote work location; otherwise applicable minimum compensation is paid
  • Structured thinking, attention to detail and confidence working with checklists and source data
  • Clear written communication and willingness to escalate uncertainty instead of guessing
  • Professional English and availability for 20 hours per week with agreed Berlin-time overlap
  • Ability to lawfully participate in a remote internship from the country where the work will be performed

Helpful experience

  • Interest in marketplaces, service operations, customer experience or process design
  • Experience with spreadsheets, documentation tools or student-project coordination
  • Professional German or another European language

What you will learn and gain

  • A structured learning plan covering process mapping, quality assurance, issue classification and operational reporting
  • Weekly feedback on accuracy, prioritisation, communication, reliability and learning progress
  • Cross-functional exposure to marketplace, partnership and product decisions
  • A supervised final process case study suitable for an approved portfolio where confidentiality permits
  • A final written learning review and internship confirmation based on documented participation

What happens next

  • Submit your application
  • Initial review
  • Online interview
  • Role-specific conversation, where applicable
  • Final decision

Time commitment in the selection process

  • Initial conversation: usually about 30 minutes
  • Role interview: usually about 45 minutes
  • Recruitment task: approximately 120 minutes

Assessments are clearly scoped and never ask for productive work for GamingCenter.

Success in the first 30 days

  • Complete marketplace journey, data-quality and escalation onboarding
  • Audit a defined group of listings or operational records against the approved checklist
  • Maintain a prioritised issue log with owners, evidence and next actions
