Why this role matters now
The contribution this role unlocks
A growing role catalogue creates more candidate communication, review and onboarding work. This role helps keep that experience timely, fair and properly documented.
Your place in the team
You will support the People & Culture lead and collaborate with relevant hiring leads. You do not make independent hiring decisions, and candidate access remains role-based.
Hiring lead: People & Culture Lead
What a typical week may include
The sequence depends on priorities and your learning progress; scope and ownership are agreed together.
- Review the assigned candidate queue and confirm owners and next steps
- Coordinate interviews and prepare approved communication
- Maintain scorecards, follow-up dates and onboarding checklists
- Share a short candidate-experience or process-quality update
Tools and working systems
We list only systems genuinely used in this workstream. Access is role-based and granted after onboarding.
Your role at GamingCenter
People & Culture is responsible for making every interaction with GamingCenter clear, respectful and consistent. As an HR Intern, you will support the operating system behind that experience: accurate candidate records, timely communication, structured interviews and practical onboarding preparation.
You will work with approved criteria and documented workflows rather than make independent hiring decisions. The role suits someone who enjoys bringing order to moving parts, protects confidential information and can turn recurring coordination into a process the whole team can follow.
You will receive a defined learning scope, an accountable supervisor and regular feedback. We will confirm the lawful internship route, duration, working country and compensation in writing before the placement begins.

Internship terms
Contract and duration: Six-month mandatory school/university internship; or a qualifying voluntary internship of up to three months if relying on an unpaid exemption. A longer voluntary internship requires a lawful paid arrangement.
Compensation: Unpaid only where a documented mandatory-internship or other applicable legal exemption permits it; otherwise at least the legally applicable minimum compensation is paid
Academic documentation: Before signature, we document the country where work will be performed, the university or orientation basis, required duration and applicable compensation rules. A six-month unpaid route is available only for a documented mandatory internship. For work performed in Germany, any voluntary unpaid route must independently satisfy MiLoG §22; otherwise at least the statutory minimum wage is paid. Mandatory local rules apply outside Germany.
Equipment and expenses: The internship is remote-first and does not require relocation to Germany. Participation requires a suitable computer, reliable internet and a private setting for confidential work. No purchase or travel is required without prior written agreement. Candidate-data access follows least privilege and role assignment.
Compensation and legal eligibility are documented before signature and are not selection criteria. Official BMAS internship information.
